The Pearl a nonfiction story written by John Steinbeck. The pearl of the world is found , a beautiful grand pearl that has never been seen before found be a fisherman named Kino. For kino the pearl seems the answer for a better future, but instead it’s there to teach a lesson about greed and wealth. Also throughout this story kino changes what is important to his life as he copes his internal conflict.

But Kino was an innocent man he thought all were happy and full with joy for them, but everyone wish to have this pearl.
After Kino has found the pearl, all his importance of his boat and family will change to wealth and Coyotito’s education. Kino should be alert that his new wealth may turn him very greedy. His son’s education is important though because he will be the one who sets the free from their ignorance. The wealth that Kino now has his what all want this can interfere of what kino desires. Even if the people do not manage to get the pearl for its value , this wealth for Kino will not do as good as he plans it will be because something will come over him, it’s called greediness. This greediness has change kino a lot “Kino’s face grew red, dark, and dangerous. It is worth fifty thousand!”(p.50) Even though this pearl is what Kino wants because it can change their future ,but does he know it will change his future in a bad way. As Kino continues to have this pearl everything is getting worse for their safety because now they will head to the capital.
