Animal farm was a book about the Russian that used both language and literacy to establish a dictatorship between the animals. In the beginning a the pigs learned how to read and write so they wrote on the barn the rules of animal farm, but as things progressed, the dictator Napoleon himself made the pigs change the rules at night so the animals wouldn’t find out what their doing. If the all the animals were literate they would have realized that the rules were being changed to benefit the pigs especially Napoleon, who started to become the dictator.
