How Does Soda Affects People's Health?

People around the world choose sugary drinks over water. But what some people do not know is that drinking too much soda or juice can cause health problems. Sugary drinks are very bad for people because they can cause health problems, it is bad for the bones, and it can lead to obesity .

One reason why people should not drink sugary drinks is because they are bad for a person’s health. In the text “Soft Drinks and Disease” it says people who consume sugary drinks regularly---- 1 to 2 cans a day or more----have a 26% greater risk of developing type 2 diabetes than people who rarely have such drinks.” This proves that people who drink a lot of sugary drinks like soda, have a 26% greater risk of getting type 2 diabetes. In this text “How Soda Impacts Your Body” it says “The more soda you drink, the more likely you are to develop asthma or COPD.” This shows that the more sugary drinks you drink the more likely you are to develop asthma or COPD. Soda can affect people’s health. When staying healthy, a better choice than drinking sugary drinks is water. Water has 0 calories, so it is very healthy.

Milk is good for the bones because they have lots of calcium. Calcium will make the bones stronger instead of making the bones weaker with sugar and phosphoric acid.
