How social media affects athletes? In this paper you will learn how social media can affect athletes. I am going to be showing you the pros and cons when you have social media as an athlete.
Websites and applications that enable users to create and share content or to participate in social networking An athlete may 2nd guess what they are doing because they are being filmed and if they do something wrong or make themselves look bad they could be posted on social media. An athlete could also get caught with a lie if they say something not true on camera. Coaches look at your social media accounts. The reason is because in the last year or 2 you have been seeing a lot of athletes getting in trouble on twitter. “The real issue is the responsibility that is tied to being on social media”. If you post something on social media everyone will see it. So if you have fame and you post something that was a mistake it won't take long for people to see it and screenshot before you delete it. Another reason is because people like to hack celebrities to have a lot of followers. Johnny Manziel- he accidentally tweeted his number out to all his fans on accident. Ryan babel- Was sexist online and said to a girl “i think you should concentrate on growing some tits instead of speaking about football…. Your a girl stay in your lane”.
