How Does Shakespeare Show Loyalty In The Tempest

Have you ever had a friend that you thought was your friend and later realized that they we just using your friendship to get back at someone else? The book The Tempest is slightly similar to the idea mentioned before. Prospero, a king and magician, was supposed to be murdered by his brother, but instead his friend sent him into exile to an isolated island with his daughter Miranda. About 24years later his servant Ariel heard the news that a ship with all the people he wanted to take revenge upon and so he created the tempest. The Tempest was a storm that brought all the nobles on the ship ashore. After this nothing was ever the same, he used all the people that were loyal to him as just another piece of a game. Miranda falls in love with Ferdinand at first sight and Uses this information as another part of his plan. Miranda looked up to her father's wise words and he betrayed her because he know that he is not doing something horrible he is bringing two people together, but he is betraying them by how he used the information. He used his daughter's innocence to trick and lure in King Alonso's son, Ferdinand, which benefits Prospero so he allows it to happen because he is the master of the game. Miranda asks her dad not harm anyone on the tempest, but what she does not know is that he plans to take revenge when the come ashore. He tricks her and shows the readers that even though he cares about her he cares more about his plot of revenge. Miranda has a way of being very loyal when it comes to believing in her father.
