The play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare is about love, and reveals that people will do anything for the ones they love. No matter what the outcome may be. In the story of Romeo and Juliet many of the characters make very rational decisions. I think people can learn a lot from this story, words can hurt and not to make uneducated decisions. So, the play Romeo and Juliet, is about two young individuals who are apart of two different social classes the Capulets and Montagues. Juliet is a Capulet and Romeo is a Montague. One night the Capulets have a party and Romeo and a few of his friends decide to go. Then, Romeo see’s Juliet from across the room and instantly knows she is someone special and thinks she is the most beautiful girl he has ever laid eyes on. …show more content…
During all of this the two know that they should not be together because it is wrong for the two social classes to be civil with one another let alone in love, but they insist to be together and don’t care what is socially acceptable. With this being said, Romeo goes and meets with Fryer Lawrence and arranges a secret marriage so nobody knows about the forbidden couple getting married. Sometime later, Romeo and his friend Mercutio, run into Juliet’s cousin Tybalt. Mercutio and Tybalt then get into a raging fight, because of the fact that they are in different social classes. In the heat of this fight Tybalt kills Romeo’s best friend Mercutio. Romeo is devastated and angry. So out of anger Romeo kills Tybalt. Because of this, Romeo is then banished and Juliet is devastated by this. So she goes to Fryer Lawrence to get poison potion make her seem dead for 42 hours. She drinks the poison that night just before bed, but puts a dagger next to her bed in case it doesn’t work. She is then is found dead and is taken to the tomb where she will wait for Romeo to come get her so they can run
