This is a plot twist because Zaroff had the odds of winning. He had experience hunting people, and when Rainsford becomes the hunted, the expected outcome was that Zaroff would win. Also when Rainsford is in Zaroff’s room, Zaroff stated that one of us will be fed to the dogs, and the other will sleep in this comfy bed. Then the narrator says that was the best sleep Rainsford ever had. This implied that he killed Zaroff and had taken his place as the new man hunter. This is a plot twist due to how against Rainsford was to killing people, so when he killed Zaroff and became the new hunter, it came to a surprise to everyone. “The Most Dangerous Game” also had a good amount of character building. When Rainsford first met Zaroff, it went into a lot of detail into Zaroff’s past. From the first gun he got, to his military experience, all the way to how he got bored of hunting animals and began hunting humans. This is good character building because it gave us an insight on why Zaroff did what he did. I believe that “The Most Dangerous Game” fits into my criteria very
