The Tempest

In my response throughout the play of the tempest, illustres prospero's power and expression and explaining how it is based on gender and powers the character Prospero represent ideas of what it means to have power and what it looks like to not have power at all.

I felt that the play is based on betrayal and revenge, which become the main point to the play Prospero. In the movie, tempest is a play written by william shakespeare that show feeling of emotion, and characteristics personally of each character. Caliban ability genuinely feel and experience emotion. He reveals his emotion and thoughts to everybody including Prospero. He always showed how prospero made him feel loved and cared for showing him around the island. It is

The theme of magic has been very standard throughout history. In the movie magic has been very powerful and feared of use. It is defined as the power of apparently use for natural use of forces. This storyline is full of conflict it enables me to become entertained fairly quickly due to the suspense created on what prospero will do to declare his revenge. Prosper is responsible for the crew ashore. I think that part showed suspense of what she could do. This also shows that caliban is naturally afraid of humans and pleaded with them not to enslave him. This creates the images that caliban defenceless.

Nevertheless i think as time went on even though prospero miss use her power and strength on others she starts to realize what she was doing wasn't right . Even Miranda his daughter has warned prosper by telling her to release the spells that they shall be free. Even caliban was so tired of prospero and hold so much grudges that he wanted to murder her for using spells and taking away the island from him.

Therefore prospero has shown her ability without being powerful, caring prospero might not have ever escaped off the island. Even though he tends to sacrifice his magic, her daughter happiness wa more important the her revenge. She forgave her enemies and set ariel

Comparison of Shakespeare and Coates+DuBois When comparing Shakespeare’s The Tempest with W.E.B. Du Bois's The Souls of Black Folks and Ta-Nehisi Coates Between the World and Me, there are many similarities. Shakespeare wrote the Tempest nearly 300 years before The Souls of Black Folks, and over 400 years before Between the World and Me. This goes to show that racial bigotry and abuse of power have remained relevant for quite some time. In The Tempest Caliban is enslaved and degraded because of his appearance.…

After being deceived by his brother and cast away to an island, Prospero was able to apply his knowledge and gain experience. Caliban urges his comrades to “ first possess his books; for without he’s but a sot, as I am, nor hath not one spirit to command” (The Tempest, p.53). The strict tone of “first possess his books” exemplifies how Prospero gains the knowledge of magic from his books, but only when he applies his knowledge is he able to command spirits and pose a threat to Caliban. When Miranda and Ferdinand see each other for the first time they instantly fall in love and Prospero reveals, “It goes on, I see, as my soul prompts it” (The Tempest, p.23).…
