Impact of Nursing uniforms
This paper aims to correlate the relationship between professionalism and patient impact based on nursing uniforms. Due to the difficulty in identifying nurses from many other health care professionals some hospitals have adopted a system where nurses and other staff wear different colors. Also, the color and style, integrity of the nursing uniforms convey non-verbal messages that determines whether patients perceive their nurses as intimidating or warm and caring. This paper will try to explore evidence based research about impact of implementing a standard nursing uniforms in terms of professionalism, how it would facilitate patients and family members to distinguish nurses from other health care professionals easily,
