I liked how the author brought suspense as to the thought the boy would never be seen again. Although, there were still one hundred pages so the boy couldn’t be dead. What I didn't like is that Jesse didn’t even get a word with Miss Polly Baxter before she left. What I really liked in this period of time is how when Jesse collapsed he was drifting towards heaven and he saw his Mother, Lydia, her child, and his father all happy. Although he wanted to stay Lydia told him he had a promise to keep and Jesse awoke to the woman. There wasn’t much I didn’t like about this section only other that the reader didn’t get to see Miss Polly Baxter’s response at Jesse’s words.
