Plot twist 1. Instead of venturing into Medusa lair, Perseus listens to Calibos and ventures back to Argos empty handed. Consequently, Argos is flooded and the citizens, along with Perseus killed. Calibos defeats Medusa and claims her head for himself, thereafter, presenting the head to Zeus, therefore, turning to his true form
Plot twist 2. Upon setting out on his quest, Perseus turns back and brings Andromeda with him. Andromeda choosing a different route, Perseus manages to avoid meeting Calibos and the trap, altogether. Medusa turns Andromeda to stone, instead. Perseus, defeats Medusa, in turn defeating the sea monster. Zeus offers Godhood to Perseus, thus he chooses and becomes a god, in retribution for Andromeda death.
