The movie Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief relates to Greek mythology in many ways. In the movie, Percy Jackson is a demigod, half-mortal and half-god. He is also the son of the god Poseidon. The god, Zeus, accuses Percy of stealing his lightning bolt. Zeus gives Percy fourteen days to return it, if not, he would start war amongst the gods. Percy and his friends, Annabeth and Grover, go on an adventure to catch who the real thief is. During their journey, they come across angry gods who want nothing but the lightning bolt.

In the movie, Percy and his friend’s first location was to Auntie Em’s Garden Emporium. In the scene, they come across Medusa. In Greek mythology, Medusa was a monster, with a hideous face and snakes
