Now that I have completed my research, I can take away many things, such as the things I have learned about my GRQ. I have learned that PTSD is a mental or anxiety disorder that can be received from traumatic or stressful events. War veterans returning home often feel symptoms of PTSD: depression, anxiety, anger and increased levels of stress. This can then be passed on to their family, through what is known as ‘secondary PTSD’, and can affect the family members and children in the same manner. From the different levels of research I have been doing, there has been many repeating main ideas; PTSD can alter one's life in such a great way, that is can negatively harm themselves and their family.
