This is where humanity comes into existence. In Genesis 1:26-27, “Then God said, Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and all the creatures that move along the ground. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” According to Hiles and Smith, “A third major element of any worldview relates to questions about what it means to be human. Here, one may question what humans are made of (bodies, souls, or body-soul complex), how they relate to the physical universe, and how they relate to the spiritual world if any such thing exists (p.5, 2015).” Even though we are placed here on earth with our earthly bodies there is a purpose for each of our lives. Purpose is something you have to activate like faith, it is a journey. You cannot discover your purpose in life by standing still. We all have calling in life that God wants us to open and find. The main benefit is that we have an advocate in Christ Jesus. This is not to say that once a person becomes saved all their life problems will just vanish. Christians do have assurance that whenever life problems occur, they have God to take refuge in. 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to “Cast all your cares on him because he cares for you.” At times operating in love and compassion just as Jesus taught can be difficult. Christians are taught to love their neighbors as they love their selves. God is not the author of confusion. He wants the very best for our lives, but we have to accept his power and authority.
