How To Become An Impluate Leader?

How does one become an effective leader? There are a number of factors that are essential in becoming a distinguished leader. A leader must know how to successfully listen, and exchange dialog. An accomplished leader also knows how to recognize their faults and acknowledge how to improve their areas of weakness. Using advanced tools and means, The Professional Communication and Leadership in Healthcare course at Western Governors University instructs healthcare professionals in how to become superior leaders. I learned invaluable skills in the areas of communication, educational strategies, and work styles that helped me improve myself as a leader and an individual. I evaluated my learning methods and determined where my weaknesses lie. Using …show more content…
Additionally, I am able to effectively implement the plan, evaluate the results and continually refine the plan as necessary until the project is successfully completed. Along with these strengths, I learned about some challenges that may hinder the completion or even the outcome of a project. For instance, I learned that I am likely to lose momentum and enthusiasm for a project midstream and may profit from a motivating team-member who propels me into action. Because my most pronounced weakness is time management, I think that the most important key to my success as a student is making a realistic but detailed plan for the times and days that I will study. I also plan to make goals for what I want to accomplish during each study session, using checklists to monitor my progress and keep me on track. I already take notes while I read and study, but I plan to implement the use of outlines after I read making sure to make the logical connections that make it easier for me to learn and remember. In addition, I plan to evaluate the effectiveness of my strategies before I meet with my student mentor each week so that we can make adjustments to my plan as
