How does one become an effective leader? There are a number of factors that are essential in becoming a distinguished leader. A leader must know how to successfully listen, and exchange dialog. An accomplished leader also knows how to recognize their faults and acknowledge how to improve their areas of weakness. Additionally, I am able to effectively implement the plan, evaluate the results and continually refine the plan as necessary until the project is successfully completed. Because my most pronounced weakness is time management, I think that the most important key to my success as a student is making a realistic but detailed plan for the times and days that I will study. I also plan to make goals for what I want to accomplish during each study session, using checklists to monitor my progress and keep me on track. I already take notes while I read and study, but I plan to implement the use of outlines after I read making sure to make the logical connections that make it easier for me to learn and remember. In addition, I plan to evaluate the effectiveness of my strategies before I meet with my student mentor each week so that we can make adjustments to my plan as
