Bullying has mental and physical effects on the victims, but if the problem is not solved it will have effects not just in the victims. Many believe that bullying cannot influence the economy or the future of the medical field. However, bullying among nurses is actually affecting the economy of the countries and the job outlook for future medical professions. For example, Stagg and Sheridan (2010) stated in their article, “40% left their jobs because of workplace bullying”(p.423). The quote is helping to see the influence it has in the economy.
