How Does Nuclear Energy Affect Australia

Improved Essays
Australia has been engage using energy future or as it call, nuclear power and signed a contract around 1951s and in fact, Australia start creating uranium not as much of 2 grams between 1906 till 1932
Australia has exported their production in 1962s
After that, large and high grade of uranium has been discovering around Australia, during the same era, the safety has been forcing to take in action to minimise the nuclear producing. However, uranium oxide has been to start move up and carbon an emission has been getting high in the air, nuclear power might be the solution to reduce this amount of pollutions.
According to studies that mad, Australia has around 25% of the world’s resources of economic uranium.
In 2004, Australia’s Government

Using nuclear power is better solution even though will affects the population, using nuclear power will minimise the effect on atmosphere. In America, late 1965, electric has been emitted around 22 million tonnes of pollutants out of 140 million tonnes, and all these pollutants is still in this air moving, is right that electric it’s not most important thing to effect the atmospheric, but it’s part of destroying the earth.
This electric need to cool down by using water and then water will return to lake or stream dragging gases and unclean stuff.
Population is growing and they need electric to stay in contact, building a nuclear plant must be involved but in a way that help society, because nuclear can help environment to clean up from pollutants and also will stop us using coal, however, coal will finish in future, while energy can’t destroy it or remove it. To help the environment more, using wind and solar sources it will increase more power to human, since it counts on natural help, these kind of pwer is renewable, wind is everywhere and we have enoguh of sun, according to studies, 11%-16% can produce it from solar and 14%-45% can preduce it from wind energy. By looking on these percentage, it help to reduce using nulear power, coal and fuel and as well as it can help Australias’ soceity in future
. (Owen 2011)

Australia has all the abilites to help the society to have a btter life, by increasing solar system and wind electric, resousers has been done under Biomass saying that sugar can use it for energy, is actually sugar mills and been in develpment and can use it as enrgy fuel.
Australia should not build nuclear power since they have a bad atmoshere. By the construction cost, it will effect directly to society and ecceonmey.
Australia should look after saftey and depend on renweable enery life.(Sevior

Nuclear power plants release no carbon dioxide into the air unlike coal which does. It has been discovered that since the start of use of nuclear energy as a source of power the amount of greenhouse gasses such as methane and carbon have decreased by almost half. This shows how nuclear power benefits the atmosphere. Nuclear energy only…

The Untied States main reason for starting nuclear energy is because of the air pollution crisis. We have absolutely no control on where the waste from coal goes as a whole. Waste from coal is entered straight into our atmosphere for us to breathe in daily. Waste created from nuclear waste is located in a competely controlled and monitored facility. These facilities are controlled under extremely intensive guidelines and rules to follow when creating the energy and storing the watse product.…

After the atomic bomb was dropped nuclear physicists began looking into other uses for nuclear power. A decade later scientist were able to productively generate nuclear power into an alternative source for electricity. Nuclear reactor generate 17 percent of the electricity around the world reaching a remarkable high compared to previous years (Martin). Plants can generate more than a gigawatt of electricity which is about one million megawatts of energy. That’s why using nuclear power for electricity is beneficial.…

Earth has experienced variations in climate throughout history. Several cycles of glacial advance and retreat (specifically the Permian, Carboniferous, Cambrian and Pre-cambrian glaciations) demonstrate natural climate fluctuation. These fluctuations can be attributed to deviations in the Earth 's orbit; the amount of solar energy received by Earth differing as a result of this. Current temperature trends display an aberrant rate of increase in global lower-atmospheric temperatures. This indicates an (presumably human-induced) escalation in the volume of greenhouse gases being released into the atmosphere.…

Uranium is currently the sole raw material for generating nuclear energy. Nuclear power is a limited resource. Most countries which use nuclear energy rely on other countries for the constant fuel supply. Since its mined like any other metal, uranium’s availability is limited. Once we extract it all, nuclear plants will be rendered useless.…

Regardless of the various definitions of renewable energy, nuclear energy meets every reasonable criterion for sustainability, which is the primary concern of countries. The United States should use nuclear energy for three primary reasons: first, it produces more cost effective energy than any other non-renewable resource. Second there is no release of greenhouse gasses which contribute to global warming, and finally nuclear energy is the most reliable source of power in the world today. Nuclear power produces electricity that is less expensive than coal and natural gas while providing more energy for use. The Energy Informative Organization supports this claim when the author states, “Generating electricity in nuclear reactors is cheaper…

Another plus of Nuclear energy is its footprint on the area of the earth is very small. Wind and solar take up quite a bit of area. Even though the wind turbine itself only takes up a small area, the land around it is pretty much useless except to let farm animals graze. Solar panels can use some useless space on top of buildings, but that doesn’t really amount to enough energy, so solar farms are built. A nuclear reactor can be the size of a semi truck, fit in a submarine, or the size of a house.…

Climate change causes concerns and response is a major subject of political debate in Australia and overseas. It is a subject of whom there is a wealth of information produced by experts from a range of different perspective scientific, economic, legal, social policy and foreign affairs. It is also an issue of which even experts are not agreed on. There is a lot of information on all aspects of climate change, and it can be hard to keep up (Parliament of Australia). “While the politicization of climate something of a circus, the coalition’s announcement of a 26% emissions reduction target on 2005 levels for Australia by 2030 has surely placed its climate policy on a dangerous high wire” (CNN by David Holmes).…

Research has shown that the burning of fossil fuels produce an extreme amount of carbon dioxide, which is a primary contributor to air pollution and ozone depletion. Additionally, the burning of coal is an inefficient method for producing energy. The data also shows a fraction of uranium is needed to generate nuclear energy and the waste manufactured is also minute when compared to coal. Based on the data provided, coal manufactured nearly 2600 times more waste than a nuclear based power plant. All in all, nuclear energy is more sustainable than coal and the results based on these figures confirms my hypothesis.…

The environment is always changing whether its for the better or worse, it all depends on the decisions that we make everyday. Nuclear energy has greatly influenced the environment due to its pollution-free qualities and amount of energy that it can produced at a given time, it may influence others to consider the production of more nuclear plants. The power plant project takes anywhere between 260 sq miles to 360 sq miles taking up much less space than the number of other renewable sources in order to compete. Many may argue that renewable sources, like wind and solar doesn’t produce any carbon dioxide, so why should we spend billions constructing a power plant if we can make more existing solar and wind structures for a source of energy? Although the structure itself may cost a lot less than a nuclear plant, the power plant has a much higher life expectancy, produces energy much cheaper than other renewable energy sources, and it takes up less space than the amount needed to compete with a nuclear power plant.…
