Then, I would like to discuss the main happening of the story; the exchange of murder experiences between Nita and the man who suddenly appeared in her house. Nita makes up a story in which she murders his husband lover by giving her some poison. As the narrator told before, Nita was Richʼs lover and the cause of the divorce of Rich and his ex-wife Bett. In the invented story, Nita clearly takes the role of Bett and speculates about what could had happened in the past, with the possible intention to establish a feeling of complicity with the man. Thus, they become each other accomplice by sharing their criminal secrets.
