How Does Mark Hughes Use Herbalife To Give Consumers

Mark Hughes created Herbalife to give consumers another option to losing weight. Outside of vitamins they also sold shakes, protein bars, snacks and a line of personal care products. To be able to purchase these items a person would have to buy a package with included Herbalife products. By purchasing the package the person becomes a individual contractor. So they are able to sell the product, recruit others to earn extra income, or just purchase the products for personal use. William Ackman a hedge fund manager accused Herbalife as being a pyramid scheme. (Ferrell, O.C., Ferrell, L., & Thomas, D., 2010).
