João Marcos Maciel is a creator and researcher who aims to impact society. Born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, he is an independent artist, digital and visual artist, writer, film director, composer, developer and entrepreneur. Creativity, interdisciplinarity and innovation is his objective into the academic field and the market. As an example, his artistic data visualization and sonority of stock market – Mr. Market’s Emotions - that rethinks some personal views of economy, design, psychology and data visualization. This artwork was selected to FILE Electronic Language International Festival and ISEA Inter-Society for the Electronic Arts.
Furthermore, João works into some information technology projects and visual artistic/new media artworks.
