From reading the Crucible, I felt like I should be angry. I don’t really feel anything, but I can understand why some people would feel emotional towards this drama. The Crucible especially brings both sadness and anger between pages 144-145, when John Proctor refuses to sign the confession paper regardless of the consequences of hanging. Even though he could’ve saved his own live, he did what he believed was right. There was also an incident in pages 54-55 when Elizabeth and John Proctor was arguing. The argument between John Proctor and his wife began because of Abigail’s selfish intentions. Abigail tries to convince John to stay with her regardless of John having a wife. Abigail later tries to get John’s wife hanged to legally be wife John
