Japan does have a Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branch of government. The legislative branch has the house of representatives and house of councillors. Ordinarily the Judicial Branch of government is the 3 branch of government. It consists of one Supreme Court, 10 high courts, and 50 district courts located in every prefecture in Japan. The Supreme Court of Japan is the highest judicial authority and the final court. Their most important responsibility is to review laws to determine the constitutionality of the governing statute. There are 15 Justices chosen by the Cabinet. The process of a law is very slow and deliberate because they don't want to mess up and have a bad law made in Japan's country.
