Kings “I Have a Dream” speech. In his speech he speaks directly from the hearts of the black population. He is fighting against the superior race in hopes of equality. “Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God’s children. Throughout Kings whole speech he his making clear to people that the blacks aren’t being treated as they should be. Generations after generations are having to grow up in a world where they will deal with inequality. “We can never be satisfied as long as our children are stripped of their adulthood and robbed of their dignity by signs stating ‘For Whites Only’”. It is clearly shown throughout the letter by the way he writes and states facts based off of the mistreatment of the black community. The white moderate is put to shame for their beliefs and ways of going about things. The law is harshly criticized because of how the entire world is not being treated fairly under it. The purpose of the letter is to simply inform the world of how the black community feels. It was not written to call out all white people, as not all of them are “guilty” of the things Dr. King has written about, but to open people’s eyes to what was happening and make them realize that the majority of the whites are to blame for the way the blacks were being treated. Martin Luther King was eventually able to reach his audience.
