In the same fashion, Gray does’ drugs to aid to the problems that surround him as an escape. Almost like going in a fantasy stage where he does not have to think about what is going on around him. This the sole reason why when he does the drugs he thinks about a life with his dad in Utah. Introducing Cognitive- behavioral therapy and one on one counseling would be the approach I would take with Gray’s case help him to live a more productive life. Nonetheless, I recall Freud believed that these basic drives, or instincts, involved in the id provide the main energy source for personality development.
