Geography has affected many things leading up to now, it has affected in the past and will continue to affect us in the future. Geography isn’t only the shape of and and its climate but also a contribution to culture, dialect, religion. In Geography Matters it explained how geography can be a protective barrier for some, while in The Crucible the geography affects much as religion and also tradition. Lastly, Geography and its take on my life and how I have become who I am because of it. Geography Matters explained many different ways how geography affect people, mostly it speaks about how it could be a protective barrier from other neighboring countries. The Crucible focused on how puritans were very religious and hard working people. They migrated to America to flee religion and have a place of isolation. So since it was very isolated because of its geography that affected religious acts since there was only one religion they knew of. The conflict in this book was being accused of witchcraft, the puritans have heard of witchcraft before and because of curiosity women got caught in the act of witchcraft. Since Salem is very isolated beliefs were found to be very true. Reverend Parris was very disappointed in the girls for practicing witchcraft he knew that once they were accused it will cause a huge problem in Salem. “And what shall I say to them? That my daughter and my neice I discovered dancing like heathen in the forest? (Miller 10). This shows how Reverend Parris from the church knows that the other will never forgive the girl for witchcraft because of how religious they are and there is no religious freedom because of the isolation in Salem.
I have moved many placed in my life, I came to Mahwah last year and before living here I used to live in South Brunswick. Both are in Nj and by living in Nj most of my life I have learned many things. We are a open state and very nice people, we can follow any religion we want unlike in Salem we wouldn’t be executed because of it. Also I have noticed when coming to
