In less than a year Presidential elections will be finished and a new president will be elected to be this nations 45th President of the United States of America. It will be the final count down for the end of Obama final term in office for the American people. However, the next president is going to have a lot of messes to clean up before he or even she can even begin making a positive impact on the nation. But, one of the main topics, which have been brought up more and more in the ongoing presidential candidates debates, is the topic of how the candidates will address the topic of gun control. The most vocal presidential candidates on the topic of gun control is Hillary Clinton, who kept changing her options on topic she has already made comments about in the past, but she thinks gun control can win her the seat of president. She states, “What is wrong with us, that we cannot stand up to the NRA and the gun lobby, and the gun manufacturers they represent?” (Times). According to the article she is calling for gun control measures, closing loopholes and changing background checks in her campaign platform. Secondary data can be used to show how much has changed in American option on this topic. Primary data can be used to gage a better understanding on how this generation is affected by this topic and their viewpoints. It would be best to do a survey independent of any other data to compare the findings with other people findings. The information, which I would generate, will not fully answer my question because it is always going to change as new issues are brought up. But, it will begin to answer the question on how people view gender and gun control at the time the surveys are filled out.
