How Does Feudalism Affect Society

Living in a time such as the middle ages was a blessing and a curse due to feudalism and the impact it had upon the society. Feudalism greatly affected the economy of the society and all the people who had lived in the middle ages. Along with economy, military was affected due to the feudal system and the rules it had towards soldiers and knights. But without the church and Culture feudalism would not even had existed. The feudal system greatly impacted the middle ages and affected the role that knights played upon the society.

Becoming a knight is not something that many people had the chance to do because of the feudal system and the process of becoming a knight would take many years to happen. Knights had to prepare over the course of time, practically their entire life in order to become a knight and knights had to be born into a noble family in order to have the chance of becoming a knight due to feudalism. Knights had an education on becoming a knight all throughout their childhood, knights were literally born to fight(Bishop 77). The Great Chain of Being Was very much appreciated mostly by the upper class and people who did not have as bad of a life as the lower class did. The church created the idea known as the great chain of being which expressed how some people were better than other and should have more rights(Richardson). This meaning Serfs had less rights while upper classes had more rights, like the lord and nobles.
