Becoming a knight is not something that many people had the chance to do because of the feudal system and the process of becoming a knight would take many years to happen. Knights had to prepare over the course of time, practically their entire life in order to become a knight and knights had to be born into a noble family in order to have the chance of becoming a knight due to feudalism. The Great Chain of Being Was very much appreciated mostly by the upper class and people who did not have as bad of a life as the lower class did. The church created the idea known as the great chain of being which expressed how some people were better than other and should have more rights(Richardson).
