The Disney- fication of the story is amazing on how Disney changed the story and made it a movie. I wish I had superpowers like that. Disney’s version of Beauty and the Beast had a mood of cheerful and the stories mood was gloomy. There are many examples on how the plot changed the mood. First, the story version was very dark and hopeless. “All at once the merchant lost his whole fortune, excepting a small country house at a great distance from town, and told his children with tears in his eyes, they must go there and work for their living.”(pg 1) This passage shows that the plot can change the mood because they lost all their money and they think there is no way of getting it back. Second, in the Disney version Belle was joyful. Belle
