Youth are positively affected by Christianity Research in the past has displayed a positive correlation between Christianity and positive social behavior in youth. Youth that are involved in religion are less likely to abuse alcohol, cigarettes drugs, have premarital sex, and commit crimes ( ). The text recognizes that these associations do not fully identify whether the participation in Christianity has an actual effect on these outcomes. This is a result from the inability to observe other factors that influence the youth and their families.
