I believe that the person who changed the most in this book was the main character August who was born with distorted facial features. I believe that he has changed the most from feeling let out this whole life and now feels like he's a normal person and not just so kid who's has medical problems. He had been homeschooled his whole life and when he first went to school that changed him cause he believed that everyone was going to hate him. When he met his friend Summer who also sit with him at lunch and she told him that he was perfect and did not need to change.
