How Does America Promote Individualism

The United States of America. What do you think of? Some might say freedom or an eagle, but do you even think individualism? America promotes individualism because of our society and media, rebellious nature, and not relying on the government. For hundreds of years now America has turned into an individualistic society, we always think of ourselves as an individual before we think of our nation as a whole. We do what we need to do to survive. And there's nothing wrong with thinking about yourself and the people you care about before you think of everyone else.

You can go outside and I'm sure you can find at least five things that promote individualism, that's because America promotes individualism most in the media. But even Media itself promotes individualism, today we are more likely to be by ourselves on our phones than be outside playing a game with a group of people. Even in advertising there are individualistic qualities. In individualistic cultures advertising is made to appeal to people's individualistic benefits and preference, something that will give people personal success. America was created based on the idea of individualism and although the idea of individualism may come across as bad our nation is constantly being improved. The U.S is one of the richest countries in the world, according to Huffington post the third best economy in the world, the best military force in the world, and one of the best countries for education. Sometimes individualism can be a wonderful
