What is alcoholism? It's a very serious diseases that heavy alcohol drinkers have when they drink for so many years. They spend at least 24 billion dollars each year.They at least buy beer 4-6 times a day depending on how much they consume. Little do they know all the side effects that they can get by consuming too much alcohol. You don’t need alcohol to have fun. Drinking heavily may cause your brain to shrink. “If you drink heavily for a long time, booze can affect how your brain looks and works. Its cells start to change and even get smaller. Too much alcohol can actually shrink your brain”(WebMd). The cells in the human brain are very important. Thirty seconds after taking your first of alcohol the cells in your brain are affected they get smaller which causes to shrink your brain. Which is ha very serious matter.
After a night of drinking you may wake up dehydrated. According to WebMd -: “when alcohol swings into action, it tells your brain to hold off. That means you have to go more often, which can leave you dehydrated. When you drink heavily for years, that extra workload and the toxic effects of alcohol can wear your kidneys down”.
