How do you think spirituality and religion goes with development?
Allowing ourselves to connect with God through prayer is one of the most powerful ways to gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and how we can serve others. I feel a connection with my church and consider them to be family. The benefits of being there is to gain a deeper relationship and understanding of God. Listening to our pastor teach us about the bible helps me to follow the Jesus’s way; also, I love seeing my kids learning about god and how excited they are to go to church. We just seem to feel better and get along after we attend church together. For example TB is the leading cause of death worldwide which is a curable infection. Most diseases can be treated with proper medication however many people from these countries are unaware of and/or don’t have the means to provide care to their children/families. Healthcare is an important part of the child’s development because children are more vulnerable to diseases since their bodies have not yet reached full development. A fever gone untreated could result in brain damage or even cause death in children, it could also leave them with a learning disability. Parents may be fearful to seek medical attention if their child is having health problems because of the ridicule from the natural healing practices used. In addition, educating people about the dangers of some traditional healing practices can reduce child developmental delays caused by some of these …show more content…
There can be many contributing factors one will go through a midlife crisis but some symptoms in American culture are “increased boredom and self-doubt, compulsivity, major changes in the libido and sexual preferences, a change in the people, places, and things that define personal success, increased insecurity, increased rumination about past relationships and personal/professional decisions, restlessness, and an intense desire to make change without a clear sense of direction” (Encyclopedia.com, 2008). Midlife crisis is actually not a myth and is a natural part of aging; furthermore, the article says that as few as 25 percent actually turn into a crisis and it is mostly a natural transition into middle adulthood that occurs young as 35 years old.
