This is true for a majority of professions, including teachers, lawyers, doctors, and even the President of the United States. The professions listed and many more have an obligation as a worker. This obligation is to further the society by providing a service. Teachers contribute immensely to society, teaching the next generation of impactful people. Doctors help in treating the sick, injured, and even save lives. Soldiers put their lives on the line every day to defend their country so everyone back home can stay safe and secure. Mihir Bhagat, a writer for Bleacher Report, also had his own opinion on the matter:
Obviously, what these individuals must not be aware of is the most important man in our nation, the president, who makes critical decisions that affect the entire world every day, only makes $400,000 a year. While President Obama is hard at work reviving the economy, the unproven rookie in the MLB is earning way over that figure.
