Teenagers can change when they spend a day in prison. To begin with, when teenagers steal something or break the law there should be consequences for what they do. If teenagers break the law then they should go to jail and know what happens when they do something like this. “This experience will show teenagers what adult life is like and scare them away from the life of the crime.” Also, the teenagers will be in shock because they would not know what adult life is like and especially what the prisons are like because each one is different. “ The inmates would shake their cells and start to scream because they do not want to be there anymore. First, teenagers will understand that they should not repeat the same mistake over and over again. They could finally become the good role models instead of being the criminals that will turn out to have a very bad record and continue going to jail for the rest of their life. Another reason is that the teenagers will know what they have to go through and not make other mistakes again. Each day they will go to a different prison and know what they do to teenagers when they know that what they did is not the right thing to do. They would be screaming and making noise because they can not survive much longer and they just want to get out and they might want to change their life and follow their dream instead of being known as the criminal that spend their entire life in jail because they continued to make the same mistake over and over again. Finally, their futures might change after the time that they went to jail and they might want to change or get a job and live their dreams and some of the other teenagers may want to stay the same.
