How Do Teachers Raise In Pay

Decent Essays
Teachers are an inspiration to this society, and should be recognized for their talent. Teachers are the foundation of this world; without them, everything would be more difficult, and nothing would go at the speed that it does today. For example, Henry Adams shows how big of an impact teachers have on everything by saying, ‘“A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops,’” Even though teachers get a summer break, they sacrifice themselves to make sure every student has a future. Teachers should get a significant raise in pay because they’ve changed the lives of everyone. Instead of using the old saying, “those who can, do. Those who can’t, teach,” into, “Those who can do, teach.”

The Paramount Issues of High School What assets, features, and rules would the perfect high school have? In Leon Botstein’s article Let Teenagers Try Adulthood, Botstein calls out the issues of modern high school and claims that high school needs to be completely reinvented, offering many ideas as to how schools can better the education and experiences of their students such as having teenagers graduate at sixteen and ending harmful high school culture. Although Botstein makes some good points, the most important issues that need to be corrected to make American high schools more ideal are hiring more caring teachers, removing cliques and social class, and letting teenagers have more responsibility. Teachers are to schools what blood is to the body; schools cannot be schools without them.…

Teachers Are Underpaid In the United States, educators are valued for being more than just a teacher by society. Educators not only nurture and enrich student’s minds, but they are also preparing them for the future. They are the stepping stones to the student’s pathway of success. Being a teacher to me means a lot more than just a good salary, good benefits and a union; being a teacher to me surpasses the idea of material life and my summers off; to me it is shaping the future of the world. To possibly have the next President of the United States, the next doctor to create breakthrough medicine, or the next historian inside of my classroom fills me with joy and makes me want to teach for as long as the Lord allows. After watching the film “Teachers” I felt slightly discouraged, as the scenario of students slipping through the cracks, not learning to their potential, and being bound from the opportunity of success, is true. Now, that being said, I don’t think students can graduate without the ability to read or write, however I do believe that some students are just passed along never receiving the help they require due to the fact that teachers can only do so much on their own, and that teaching the majority is most prominent factor in determining how to teach your class. Throughout this film there is a negative theme that teachers don’t care about the quality of their classes and that they only come to work for the money, not because they enjoy what…
