How Do Tattoos Affect Society

The appearance of a tattoo on a person is a unique way to set them apart from everyone else. Tattoos are sometimes frowned upon by just as many people as those who think they are simply amazing. On many occasions, depending on the person and society, tattoos have been misjudged and misused. Tattoos can be a beautiful way to express individuality or commemorate a death of a loved one; however, tattoos are permanent, expensive, and can lead to medical emergencies if the equipment is not properly sterilized. It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words, and many people believe that to be very true when it comes to tattoos. Majority of the time, the pictures which are most dear to the person is what they will base their tattoo ideas off of. Tattoos can pertain to many different things. People tend to get tattoos due to religious preference, places around the world in which they have traveled, time spent or pictures related to military background, loss of a loved one, birth of a child, name of family member or a spouse, or even a tattoo without any meaning at all other than it being the one that they want. It is thought that tattoos came about due to a person having an open wound, who possibly came in contact with some type of fire ashes and rubbed their hands in the ashes without knowing, and retouched the open would accidentally. This allowed the ashes to put black color underneath the skin of the individual, and as the wound healed the black colored ashes became permanent on the individuals body and formed the first tattoos.
