In the media it is commonly said that Refugees are bad for Australia and really shouldn’t be accepted in (or in very small numbers) into Australia, but one thing which is almost never highlighted is some of the good which can happen when they are accepted and how they can truly help our country excel compared to others. Hopefully this information provided below will be able to teach you some of the reasons that accepting them into this country might not be such a bad idea and also how many Australia really does take in per year compared to other nations.
(1)Australia is a part of the United Nations and that means that if a person is a refugee and they are in extreme danger in their country they can seek refuge with Australia on a detention centre until they have their refugee status confirmed, then they can enter our community. (2) Many people criticise Australia isn’t bringing in enough refugees, even though we do have the 2nd highest intake out of all UN resettlement countries. At the moment not many families are coming here it is just the fathers so they can work and try and get income for their family, but what if we were able to accept the whole family so there would be no risk anymore and that the father would be able to watch and help his children grow up and so they can get a quality education without the added hassle of living in
