Over the past few years, researchers have analyzed the general concept of
microaggressions. However, little research has been done on how these microaggressions effect
women. This research will study the increase in the perceived risk a woman has living her day to
day life based on how microaggressions are used against women in today’s society. Today
microaggressions are normalized in a woman’s life. Most women are victims of
microaggressions from a young age, and this young exposure allows men’s small attacks to be

Hopefully, the research and results will lead to more women being empowered and standing up
for themselves. Society will have a better understanding of how microaggressions can affect a
woman's everyday life. This research is necessary in today’s society as the gap in gender equality
is growing quickly, and it is sadly being dismissed by many people. Surveying is the best
research method for this touchy subject. Surveys will be able to target a large group of women,
ask many questions, gather truthful private information, and save money. A limitation of the
research will be the amount of women willing to participate in a survey concerning such
sensitive questions. After analyzing the results, valid information will be presented to society,
