Meteorologists use conditions of the atmosphere to predict what the weather will do next. They use a variety of tools and equipment to gather information from the atmosphere and then transmit it back to them so they can analyze it and use it. These tools can include weather stations, aircraft, weather balloons, barometer, radar, and more. Only some of these actually enter the atmosphere to collect data, others use data collected from ground level while others even gather information on the atmosphere from ground level.
