How Do Living Organisms Respire

Living organisms must respire because their cells need the energy created by aerobic respiration to assist with life processes the enable them to survive and reproduce. For aerobic respiration to happen a physical process must take place called gas exchange. Gas exchange is when an living organism takes oxygen from the air and diffuses it into the blood, while at the same time removing waste carbon dioxide from the blood.
