In order to support, HR must be able to coach individuals and emphasise the importance on how best to communicate with staff. Research has shown that positive relationships result in revenue growth, productivity and efficiency. The HR function is able to generate and implement ideas on how line managers can develop their engagement skills and can provide solutions in the way of additional training, online learning etc.
In Conclusion, without the HR function, companies will open themselves up to a wide spectrum of difficulties and financial risk. Mainly without the knowledge of employment law companies can be subjected to allegations of unfair employment. Without HR (the mediator) this can result in legal matters pertaining to discrimination. Additional pressure is thrust upon managerial staff, which can impact overall productivity. It can lead to high sickness rates, which without proper monitoring will impact a company financially and how they are viewed
