How Do Halloween Informative Essay

When we see the word “Halloween”, what do we actually think of? I assume most of us automatically ponder about candy, costumes, pumpkins, and parties right? But have we ever actually thought of why some of our friends can’t dress up for Halloween? Probably not, the reason to this is either religious or personal beliefs (which are pretty much the same reason). Many of my friends who are Christian are forbidden to participate in this holiday because they believe that Halloween is a day to worship Satan. They believe that Halloween is evil due to bloody and gruesome costumes and decorations that others tend to display out in the open. Some Christian even stay home so they have absolutely no interactions with the holiday itself. I myself am a Catholic, and I think Catholics and Christians are quite similar in a way. So why don’t Catholics think that Halloween is an evil day? We automatically think of All Saint’s Day/ All Hallow’s Eve rather than Satan’s birthday when it comes to this holiday. For example, the past years I have been dressing up as animals for Halloween. Is there anything evil about animals? I don’t think so, if anything we are the evil ones because we obliterate them for our own nourishments. Although, I can see where Christians come from with their assumptions that Halloween is an evil day. Why? Because some dress up as the devil or spooky ghouls.
