A new day and age is coming around the corner that will danger the safety of everyday ordinary people like yourself and myself as a reporter for vehicles, the driverless car. I understand the name sounds interesting and intriguing, but these cars can be dangerous and buying them will not solve the issue. Ryan Calo wrote, “We are not ready for driverless cars because our public officials lack the expertise to evaluate the safety of this new class of automobiles” (Calo). Calo explained that our own officers and other officials will not know what to do when these cars cause issues in our towns and cities, such as accidents. Calo also wrote, “This problem extends beyond just autonomous cars to drones, for example, or even "smart" radios” (Calo).
