How Do Chicago Compare And Contrast

Milan and Chicago are my two favorites cities. Have you ever wondered what Chicago and Milan have in common? Both of the cities have a strong economy and a big population, but Chicago is a modern city and Milan is old, but a little modernized. The Italian city, Milan, is recognized as the capital of design and culture whereas the American city, Chicago, is known as the Windy City. Contrasting and comparing Milano and Chicago will be based on their culture, architecture, and topography.
Both Milan and Chicago are wealthy cities with rich cultures. For example, Chicago is a world centre of the blues, and Milan is one of the world centre of fashion and design. In the Italian city, Milan, famous soccer teams like the Juventus, Milan, and Inter Milan are recognized worldwide. Chicago has the Cubs and White Sox in baseball, the Bulls in basketball, the Blackhawks in hockey, and the Bears in football, yet they don’t have a famous soccer team . The two cities have well known museums, for example, in Chicago, The Museum of History of Commercial Architecture and in Milan, The Archaeological Museum. The media of the two cities is very important.

Chicago is located in the Midwest of the United States, however, Milan is in the north of Italy. Milan is also the capital of Lombardy, however Chicago is not the capital of Illinois. The “Windy City” borders Lake Michigan and it’s a flat area. The Italian city has also a flat topography. Finally, these two beautiful cities are very diverse, yet they have a lot in common. Both cities are very important for their countries because of their culture, and modernism. Even though they speak different languages, they are both popular tourist centers for Europeans and Americans.
