I think athletes should use their fame to promote a political agenda because many people look up to athletes and even idol them. Like using twitter or instagram and post their thoughts on things happening in our world and that many other athletes are thinking the same thing but not as brave or they are unwilling to post something about political agendas. I feel that athletes taking a knee during the national anthem is a sign of them standing up for themselves and many others. I know these athletes take knees not to show respect but to show what our country has come to be and how not everyone is treated equal or with the same power. The writer makes statements to influence the reader by saying from both sides and separating it into sections.
