They led me to another world and got my creativity flowing. They got me thinking about what it would be like to be in some of those worlds, and thought what if there were worlds like that in our universe. The animations that a man made to entertain children made me who I am today, by just having creative ideas.

When we watch a disney movie, we connect and bond. It allows us to express our feelings through the movie, and that lets us see how everyone is feeling. It also gives us something to talk about. I remember as a child watching Monsters Inc. in the basement with my whole family. That is one of my most fond and cherished memories. The movies made us a better and happier family. An example of how he was innovative is”This project was an incredible challenge for the still infant art of animation: to create seven reels of action in Technicolor with a fully developed story line involving both human and animal figures, as well as creatures of the imagination” (Inge). This is evidence to Walt being innovative because he took something simple and changed it into a complex film not successfully done by anyone else. Walt not only created this complex film but in the eyes of society it became very popular. Something els that shows how innovative Walt was is “On July 18, 1957, Disney opened Disneyland, a gigantic projection of his personal fantasies in Anaheim, California, which has proved the most successful amusement park in history with 6.7 million people visiting by 1966” (Walter Elias Disney).…

The first innovation I’m focusing on is the new use and concept of a storyboard. “Written notes, thumbnails sketches, even visual outlines had been used before, but this was the first time that a sequence of drawings was used to plot out a film in its entirety” (pg 38). This small technique made a tremendous difference when trying to piece together an animation. It not only gave clarity but it gave the Disney company an overall look at the animation so far before it was completed. Therefore, it allowed them to see exactly what and where the missing things were throughout.…

Disney movies would not be so popular if they did not reflect or at least relate to the social views or issues of our community. Additionally, the myths and stories we are exposed to as children can influence our values and thus our impact on society as we age. Through my continued love of Disney, especially into adulthood, I have noticed changes in the stories and in the character development between the older classic films and the modern day marvels. An example of this is how Aurora, the title character, from Sleeping Beauty has approximately twenty lines of dialogue in the entire film and is a static character, but more modern day Disney films show the “Princess” as the main character who goes through dramatic character development during the course of the film.…
