World War 2 lasted from 1939 to 1945 and war not only hurt the people, but the governments as well. Many countries fell through economic despair-but what of Japan, the second largest economy? problems arose decades prior to the war, starting back in 1853, with the reopening of trade between Japan and America. Yet, Japan revived itself quickly after WWII. Did WWII help Japans economic growth in some way?
In the year 1853, after reopening trade with America, Japan quickly realized they were not the strong country they had built themselves up as. This resulted in the leadership being removed from the Shogun and back to the Emperor , a complete reform of military, and overturning the feudal system of government.
