When war struck the Netherlands, many laws took place which made it hard for Jewish people like Anne Frank’s family to tolerate. “Anti-Jewish regulations soon follow. Jews are allowed to go to less and less places, Anne and Margot must attend a Jewish school and Otto loses his business” ( Anne-Frank's-history-in-brief/War in the Netherlands). This shows how the new inputted laws for Jews affected Anne Frank’s family’s daily life in Europe. The anti-Jewish regulations gave less rights for the Jewish people to stand out like the rest of the others. Furthermore, when the Frank family attempted to escape Europe’s reign under Adolf Hitler, they failed miserably and went into hiding where everything was dismal. “The people in hiding must stay very quiet, they are often afraid and despite good and bad times, spend most of it together.” (Anne-Frank's-history-in-brief/In hiding).
