After World War I there was a time of nostalgia where people just wanted everything to go back to normal like before the war. World War I not only changed the world physically but economically as well. People looked to movies as a way to alleviate the traumatic events that were going on around them. When soldiers returned from the battlefield they pretty much had to learn how to live again. Many suffered from the metal or physical disorders. WWI caused a major impact on the economic, political, military and social perspective of various nations, it cause Europe’s economy to crash and lead the U.S. to a major depression. “The Big Parade” focused on showing the accomplishments of the U.S. and encouraging citizens to be proud of their country,
